If I buy a website from you do I own it? Will I get to keep it if I decide to hire somebody else down the road?

Yes, once the website is complete you "own" it. Our clients are not obligated to host with us (even though most do) and are always free to have anyone they want work on their website.

Your services seem geared towards business. Do you design websites for individuals, too?

Of course! Our competitive and flexible pricing makes professional website design affordable for individuals and organizations. We can build a website for your club; a family reunion, wedding, or other special event; a tribute to a special person — the possibilities are endless. Tell us what you have in mind.

Do you redesign existing sites?

Yes. We can usually redesign an existing site more quickly, and for less money, than building one from scratch. Send us your existing site's URL (Web address) and a general idea of what you'd like to do, and we'll be glad to give you an estimate.

What do you need for a website?

Computer: Although highly recommended, it is not necessary for you to have a computer but it is necessary for those wishing to view your site.

ISP: an Internet Service Provider is how you connect to the Internet. This ISP will provide you with an e-mail address to communicate by electronic mail (e-mail).

Domain Name: This is www.yourname.com; your address or home page on the Internet.

Host: An Internet presence provider. This is where your website is stored for the world to view.

Website Design: You'll need all the codes, computer language, scripts and graphics which, when put together, formulate your website into a viewable form for the world to see.

FTP: File Transfer Protocol to transfer information to and from your website for updates, repair, edits and changes. This is how web designers communicate with your domain at the host.

Maintenance: Updates, additions, changes, and most importantly, search engine analysis and submission of the pages that make up your website.

The good news is that we can assist you in every aspect above! That's what we do. :o)

How can I be sure that I'll like your design?

Before commencing on your website we will discuss the overall approach that will be taken to build your website. As work progresses we will publish our work for you to to view. This allows us to built in harmony with your own views of how the site should look. You will be kept informed throughout the whole design progress.

How long will it take to get our site online?

Obviously this will depend on the complexity of your site, but a simple, several page site can be "live" within a very short period of time, once the initial approvals have been given.

Do we have to meet in person to retain your services?

In most cases, no. Technology is such that just about any correspondence we may have to do can be accomplished through phone, e-mail, snail mail or fax. While we truly enjoy meeting with, and getting to know, our clients, it isn't absolutely necessary for designing your site.

Do I need a large site? Can it just be one or two pages and still be effective?

How large your site is depends on the type of business that you have and your personal preferences. In some instances, a single page "business card" type website might be just what you need. In other cases several pages might be a better solution. It all depends on you and your businesses needs. Your site can be as simple or as complex as you like. The sky is the limit. :o)

I know nothing about obtaining a domain name or hosting a site, can your company handle that for us?

Yes, we can register your domain name for you in your companies name as well as arrange Internet hosting. These charges are in addition to our fees and can either be billed directly to you or, if you prefer, added on to our charges.

I thought only large corporations had websites, can my small business benefit from having a website?

Absolutely. A site on the Internet can give your small business global exposure, making your business available to people all over the world, not just in your local business area. A personal website is also a great way to show your information to the world.

Who will own the work when the project is complete?

When the project is done and all parties are satified, you the client will own all graphic files except source files which can be made available.

Why don't I see any changes when you say they've been made?

Your computer caches (saves) web sites that you have downloaded so that if you want to see it again, the computer doesn't have to spend all that time downloading again. On most browsers, there is a Reload or a Refresh button which forces a new download. Bring up the page you want to see, then press "reload" and wait for it to re-download. You'll then be viewing the most updated version of that page.

Where does my web site reside when we're done with its development?

A web site physically resides on a server when we are done with its development. We can arrange this for you simply and easily through our sister company NHWebsiteHost.com.

How do I get my own "www.myname.com"?

This is called a domain name. These names are controlled by InterNIC to be sure there are not duplicates of names. They charge an initial fee to register your domain and an annual fee for you to be able to keep your domain. We can arrange this for you.

How do people find out about my web site?

Just having a website will not instantly bring millions of visitors to your site. Websites need to be actively marketed on the search engines and they must be designed with this in mind. We build search engine friendly websites and know how to bring an appreciable amount of traffic to your site.

The best way for people to find out about your web site is to add your URL to your traditional advertising media. Put your address on your business cards, product brochures, magazine, radio, newspaper, and TV advertisements. Put it in all your press releases and in your trade show publications. WWW users use "Search Engines" to find things on the web. We will add you to 10 of the most popular search engines so that people can find your site based on key words.

Also, putting your URL on the signature line of all your e-mails will make everyone you're in contact with aware of your website.

Why do I need a web site?

Typical reasons a company (or anyone) will want to have a web site are to: make themselves visible to the world, improve corporate image, improve customer service, find new prospects, increase visibility, perform transactions, expand their market, meet their customer expectations, reduce costs, etc.
