I try to ignore the plummeting relevance of compact discs in the age of digital music downloads, but every now and then the sobering reality sinks in. So it was with great sadness that I read Billboard’s report that CD sales dropped 20 percent in 2010 — and by 50 percent over the past decade.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. ( KMOV) — A Belleville man Tuesday pleaded guilty to child pornography. Thomas Smith, 27, of Belleville, will be sentenced on a felony charge of receipt of child pornography.
